In December 2025 the Federal Government seeking views on how to modernise and improve the National Construction Code (NCC), as part of the NCC Modernisation Project.
There are four key themes that are explored in the discussion paper:
- Governance and process
- Complexity and regulatory burden
- Useability and accessibility
- Innovation and housing diversity
