The Australian Association of Vertical Transport (AAVT) is pleased to announce that Chief Executive Officer Mark Liversedge has been appointed to the Board of the Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF) for a two-year term. The appointment was confirmed at the ACIF Annual General Meeting held on 29 May 2026.
ACIF is one of Australia’s leading peak construction industry bodies, bringing together organisations representing the design, construction, engineering, building and specialist trades sectors. Through its work, ACIF provides a platform for industry collaboration, policy development and advocacy on matters affecting Australia’s built environment.
Mr Liversedge’s appointment provides the vertical transport industry with direct representation within ACIF’s leadership structure and strengthens AAVT’s ability to contribute to broader industry discussions on issues affecting construction, infrastructure, productivity, workforce capability and regulatory reform.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Liversedge said the role provides an important opportunity to ensure the interests and perspectives of the vertical transport sector are represented within wider industry conversations.
“Vertical transport is an essential part of Australia’s built environment and critical infrastructure. Participation at ACIF Board level provides an opportunity to contribute to industry-wide discussions and ensure the sector’s perspective is considered as priorities and policy positions are developed.”
AAVT looks forward to working alongside fellow ACIF member organisations to support improved outcomes for the construction industry and the communities it serves.
The Association congratulates Mark on his appointment and looks forward to continuing its contribution to ACIF’s important work on behalf of the broader construction sector.
